I mean, time travel would be pretty damn cool, but other than that...

It's hard to think of a skill more valuable in any field, for any level, at any time in history than the ability to get up in front of a group of people and communicate with impact. 

Great communication skills cannot mask gaps in other areas - if you're a bad leader but a strong communicator, you're runway is limited.

On the flip side though, great skills cannot mask a gap in communication. If you're a great leader, but a weak communicator, your potential is capped. It's that simple. 

If you want to become a better coder, designer, product manager, leader, there are infinite things to to work on - but if you had to pick just one skill to master first - it should be the skill of communication.
